Dr. Miller Makes Guest Appearance On NPR
In addition to educating the newest generations of doctors, the OSU Department of Plastic Surgery also aims to inform the public about the latest developments in the field. Contributing to the fulfillment of this mission, Dr. Michael Miller, Department Chair and Professor of Plastic Surgery at OSU, joined Ann Fisher on her public radio program “All Sides.” “All Sides,” a WOSU 89.7 NPR news broadcast that explores contemporary issues impacting the residents of central Ohio, recently discussed the increasing popularity of cosmetic procedures in the United States. Dr. Miller contributed his unique perspective to the discussion, drawing on his expertise with the diverse patient group he serves at OSU. The one-hour segment, which aired July 2nd, focused on the rise of cosmetic enhancement; its place in mainstream society in countries such as the United States, Brazil, and South Korea; and the possible impacts of plastic surgery on society as a whole.
